New board for my Q6600

I'm trying to get my Q6600 to 3.4-3.6ghz on air. I wanted to invest in a new mobo, because it's impossible for me right now to hit 3.4-3.6ghz on my current board. Any advice on a new board? I don't want to invest too much because I might invest in an i7 pretty soon.

The mandatory UD3P recommendation.
They love quads. How fast are your RAM sticks by the way? Throw in a couple of faster sticks too if you're not having it already. Gives you more OC headroom. The UD3P clocks 1200mHz RAMspeeds no probs.

Either the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R if you have no plans for Crossfire, or the GA-EP45-UD3P if you do plan to Crossfire.
Id have to agree with the EP45-UD3 series of boards. Excellent overclockers and the P45 is a solid chipset.
