Hello,

I will be pulling the trigger on some items this week. Just need your input on what I have so far.

CPU: e6850
MOBO: Asus Striker, ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI, EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1
GPU: eVGA 8800GTX
Memory: $79.00 Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) or G.SKILL 2GB HZ (PC2 6400)

Planning on water cooling with a BlackIce GTX360 and GTX240 with a D-Tek fusion.
Need to make up my mind on the MOBO and Memory.. And should I get 2 GPU for SLI or just one?

I say one for GPU for now and get the other one later. Its not really too necessary yet.

The ballistix RAM is great

And the CPU and Mobo are good choices as well

Just my 2cents...

i would just stick with one gpu for now but maybe get a sli motherboard in cause you decide to upgrade in the future

For now you won't need a second GPU. I don't think a second GTX would be necessary for at least six more months, probably more... and by then they'll be super cheap.

Like the ones before me said, one GPU, SLI motherboard and maybe get another set of RAM, it's at a great price.
Ok only 1 8800GTX, and I all ready have a ek full block for it as well.
Now what about the MOBO's????
Asus Striker
Asus P5K Deluxe wifi
eVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1

Asus P5N32-E SLi to be honest. A good clocking board, supports Quad core CPU's and you'll have the option of SLi in the future.

For the Dual Core, I'd say the EVGA 680i mobo for sure... but if Quad Core was the case I'd say P5K. The EVGA mobo can overclock like crazy, and it DOES support Quad Core CPU's. But I've heard the P5K is even better for Quads (not 100% sure on that one).... but for Dual Core the EVGA is king IMO.

Both RAM you have listed is great... I have the G.Skill HZ's and love them.

And when it comes to SLI... don't even bother. The benefits you get from an SLI setup are nowhere near the costs. Stick with one GTX.
