the case is good, why not try an lian li for same price but tons of more quality?

v1000 are great, or the v2000 . id say have a look at lian li before you buy thermaltake..

anyway get the 700w ocz, youll need it for that setup, and get rid of the raptor and get 2 normal sata drivers, .. trust me is no difrence in performance.. again your choice

You cannot get a full tower Lian-Li for that price. For about $100 more you can get a Lian-Li case. The armor is a great case and TT is a great company for cases.

Also, I would spend money on different memory. Corsair is not so great with the P5B deluxe and C2D's. It is sort of a hit or miss situation. I would go with OCZ or G. Skill.

I would get these sticks instead of the OCZ, and get 2 of these hard drives for a RAID setup. The RAID setup will be much faster than a single raptor, and they are cheaper.

Great system! In rebuttle to Hilfiger, You cannot go wrong with Thermaltake, you wont be dissapointed with the Armor, Although there will be a few modifications you will need to do, to enable optimal airflow. Not saying that it is any better but you may want to look at the Antec Nine Hundred if you plan to keep it Air cooled.

The Seagate Perps are just as fast as the Raptors. I had two Raptors in RAID and they are not faster the two perps in RAID.

So the Crucial's work a lot better then the OCZ...I'll change that. But as for the RAID...he doesn't wana deal with it. The 150gig raptor is also only 40$ more then the 74 gig raptor with the rebate so....

Hmmm...damn. You extreamly sure? BTW, this guy is not going to OC at all (Yes I know...its stupid...he just doesn't wana screw with anything)...just gonna leave everything at stock and go at it.

Well, time to get writing this 10 pager..I'll be checkin here every now and again. I'll rep those of you that are lending a helping hand after I get this paper turned in, as that is priority

Or you could just get one Seagate Perpendicular drive and upgrade your monitor to a 20inch or a 22inch since you get the higher resolution than the 19 inch.

Edit: I see that he isn't going to OC at all. That means you can drop the Big Typhoon if you want since the stock cooler is more than enough to keep things cool at stock.

Thats what I told him....he wanted it anyways
lmao. Do you think he needs a 700W PSU then?

I am going to call him late tonight and tell him what I recomend...and what he does is, in the end, his own decision.

So far, all I am going to tell him is to switch the ram. I also may try to get him to try RAID, but as I have not even tried it before...I dono if he'll go for that.

Very nice, but I personally would get the Raptor non-X. Even the WD specs themselves state that the X has lower reliability than the regular version. Its not like you can see the drive that well even if you had a window in your case.
