Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my case for a new sandy bridge build. Wanting something for high air OCing. My budget is $70-$110 (hoping some of the higher end cases can be found on deals, lol). I'm coming from an original Antec 900 from 2006!...Unfortunately many of the fans have stopped working and one of the usb ports broke. I was surprised to see similar (at the time) features now are more expensive than they were back then (picked up the 900 for ~60 dollars at the time).

I've read good things about the Corsair 600t, the NZXT Phantom, the Coolermaster 690 II and HAF X/922.

Any thoughts about what would be the best bang for the buck? How does the NZXT Phantom actually perform cooling-wise (I love the looks)?

Thanks for the help guys.

The Antec 900 was never a $60 MSRP case. $60 was a hot deal for it.

Most "gaming" cases follow a similar recipe. Lot of fans. Really big fans. Even more fans. Oh, and lots of mesh vents.

My only recommendation is to find a case that has front USB 3.0 ports because chances are your Sandy Bridge motherboard will have USB 3.0. I'm playing around with an Asus P8P67 right now and it has USB 3.0 headers on the board.

Come to think of it, you get your Sandy Bridge yet? I got a 2500k and the heatsink is less than 1" thick. These things probably don't run that hot. Remember the 95W TDP includes the integrated graphics, which you won't be using.

I highly recommend this HEC Blitz gaming case. The mid-tower 66RCBB offers bays for four 5.25" external, one 3.5" external, and three 3.5" internal drives, and keeps it all cool with an 120mm rear fan.
I think it is great for your build.

In the same boat with you OP. Getting new Sandy Bridge parts next week and I am in dire need of a case upgrade. I have had this Antec 900 since 2007 also when I payed $50 from zipzoomfly on a daily deal they had. I am looking at the Corsair 600T because of the cable management options but apparently the air flow is not the greatest.

Linus does a great cable management video with the Corsair 600T.
