Hey guys i'm getting a new computer cause I want to play games like Oblivion. But I don't have money for the best stuff so i'm getting something good enough to play new games. Here's what I've chosen so far:

Intel E6400
nVidia 7600GT
Kingston 1GB PC667 ddr2

I don't know which motherboard to get also what socket and stuff.
But here's a link to what's available on the shop im getting stuff from. (Motherboard)

Tell me guys what you think. Thanks.

get the e6300 and the 7900GT instead...that'd be a better use of resources.

Mobo...get either the asus p5g deluxe, or the gigabyte DS3....my vote goes to asus, though.

Ok i'm gonna try and get the 7900gt together with the e6400 but the only brand available here is inno3d. Will that be good enough? Also is there a cheaper motherboard that i can use other than the asus p5b deluxe, something half its price.

Is this the gigabyte s3? Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 A/L/DDR2/PCI-E/Conroe

Here the asus p5b deluxe is like $240 and the gigabyte s3 is like 155$. Should I still go for the asus?

Also is the pc667 ddr2 memory ok for this board?

And what do you guys think of inno3d?

With that price difference, I'd get the Gigabyte S3. And that is indeed the correct board. Use the money saved for the video card. Now, DDR2 667 is a bit slow if you plan serious overclocking. Let's say that the RAM can hit DDR2 750 speeds, then your max FSB with RAM on 1:1 is 375 MHz. With an E6300 that would mean a CPU clock speed of 2.625 GHz, while with an E6400 you'll hit 3.0GHz. Since either CPU can do more, I'd look for some DDR2 800 RAM. A decent kit should be able to hit DDR2 900 speeds, and thus an FSB of 450MHz with RAM at 1:1 with the CPU.

However, I do understand the budget issue. I recommend either of the following combinations:
- E6300 with DDR2 800
- E6400 with DDR2 667
Check the prices on those two combinations, and if the E6300 with DDR2 800 isn't much more expensive, I highly recommend that.
