new CPU

I have a M2N-E nforce 570 ultra mobo...currently running with a athlon 64 X2 3800+ windsor. I am thinking about getting the 6000+. But the question I have is that the 3800+ runs on lower wattage than the 6000+ which runs on 125w. I know some mobos can't run that high of a wattage. I couldn't find much info on my mobo since its kinda old. Can anyone help?

The cpu support list for that board on the ASUS site: http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=NFlvt10av3F7ayQ9 shows that a later BIOS update supports the 6000+.
You can also upgrade your cpu to a 7750+ or 7850+ more cheap and efficient than 6000+

Brisbane (2.7ghz) or the Windsor are the cores you want for that socket, I'd recommend both the 5200 and 6000+ while avoiding the phenoms which are not energy efficient or cheaper...
