Has anyone here gotten one of the open box 6950's from new egg? One of them was $206 (think it was a Sapphire) and the other one was an Asus for $216. I was wondering if they came with all the accessories and it was just the box had been opened or it was shipped in plain cardboard boxes with the cards only. In my experience when I ordered a newer card that was open box, it came with everything and when I ordered a newer one it was just the card itself.

well all openbox means is the product may or may not come with all specified extras, all you are ensured that comes with it is a card

It depends, sometimes they come with full accessories, or none, or only a few of them. It's really a gamble.

Well you have 30 days to return it to newegg for refund only, no replacement. The card's actual warranty will depend on manufacturer though.

It could be a customer return, well it's supposed to be a return but Newegg has a bad habit of mixing in refurbs. Openbox should keep it's regular warranty, but refurbs don't and typically have very limited refurb warranties attached.

Ive gotten 2 open box Asus video cards before. Both came with pretty much everything, but neither worked. Its a crap shoot, but you get your money back, minus original shipping, no restocking fee, they will email a shipping label, if it does not work.

I appreciate the feedback guys, and I know the general risk you take with open box items. I was hoping to get some specific feedback on anyone who's actually bought an open box 6950 lately, to prove my theory that when you order an open box item that is newer, you're more likely to get the items it comes with. I just missed an XFX 6950 for $176 on new egg!
