New Graphics cards question?

311 Views 9 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  tbates1244
Will there be any graphics card released by July that can out perform the HD 4870 X2 or GTX 295 considerably? Also can anyone tell me when exactly is Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4?

Q1 = Jan-Feb-Mar
Q2 = Apr-Mai-Jun
Q3 = Jul-Aug-Sep
Q4 = Okt-Nov-Des

And kinda wondering about the same thing.. lol.. since my x2 is dead and my warranty will propably be rejected.. I don't want to waste some 450+ bucks now on a high end card if something new is some few months away..
they're releasing a 4890 this april. i'm not sure when they'll release the x2 version though.

I also saw something about Nvidia's GT212, does anyone know anything about it?
Good question, but I think we need some faster/cheaper processors from Intel to back up the 295's first. Those things could get a faster CPU behind them, a pair of them SLI'd would chew through any game you throw at them.
Quad 295's, with a I7 965, are going to be set for a while! No lie
Even the i7's at 4ghz are bottle necking a single GTX 295 at 1280x1024. You have to run at a res higher than that, to get all the performance out of just one. So I stand by my statement that the 295's need more/cheaper CPU power to back them up for the few people (like me) who still game at 1280x1024 or lower.

Check out this link http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/4700...ge-scores.html It is one of the moderator's GTX 295+4Ghz i7 3dMark Vantage score.
