Hi! I just bought yesterday a new HD5570 512MB graphics card and in idle it stays between 42 and 44 degrees celsius with the fan on 40% is that good?

And what are the normal temps i should expect in load? (games, movies etc)

NOTE:

I've got only 3 fans in the PC, CPU cooler, GPU built-in cooler and the cooler from the PSU.

Thank you in advance, and i apologies if i posted in the wrong section.

Idle temps are of no relevance really you need to look at load temps.

The load temps should be around 70**°C with an automatic fan profile.
Yes, the fan is set to automatic, it's silent and it seems to do the trick.

Fan working at 40% and it keeps the GPU at 42 degrees in idle and 48 degrees in load, hmm, i'm surprised.

Already monitoring it's temp through ATI's Catalyst, i've got HWINFO32 and PCWizard as well, but i'll try that too.

you can try furmark or something to really stress your gpus to see how cool they stay, but it doesn't seem like something you should be worried about.

Generally the only times you should even bothering monitoring your temps is if you are experiencing issues or overclocking. If you are leaving things at stock and aren't getting any weird artifacting or other graphics issues then just let it be and enjoy. If the cooling doesn't do its job then blame the manufacturer
