New Guy from California
Hi, another new guy here, I'm fixing to graduate from an HP to my first build when the rest of my parts arrive. I've been browsing this forum for a week now trying to learn as much as I can before I start my build but I think I need another 6 months to catch up.
The one thing I did learn is there are a lot of great artists here looking at some of their master pieces, I hope to join their ranks someday.

Thinking about Blue Ray, not sure yet, more of a multimedia PC then a game PC other than Flight Simulator.

Personally I'd say go Intel but to each his own!
One of the best ways to learn is to do what your doing and thats build a system.

Welcome! Also a california resident myself. You'll like it here (I mean OCN, not california--though I like it in CA too...). When you get a chance, fill in your system spec's with your new rig's stuff.
