With that kind of budget I would say try and find some skull candy ear buds on sale.

Great quality headphones, typically cost much more.
I used to have a pair of V-Moda Bass Freq's but after putting it through the wash a couple times, they died. Also had solid sound but cost closer to $25 (again on ebay).
