just want some thoughts on gpu options i have at present 3xgtx260 216's 65mm in tri sli and was thinking of going for 2x 285's in standard sli on my new i7 build ?

will your new board support tri 260's?

if not go for dual GTX295's a GTX260 TriSLI is faster than GTX285 SLI

my new board will support them just thought 2x 285's would be as fast or a tad faster and a bit less noise and heat ?

GTX285 SLI isn't bad at all.

3x260>2x285
260s when oced can come close to 285 performance, so while yes the 285s can oc even higher, the oc is not gonna make up for one less GPU. Keep your current set up.
