So I'm looking at replacing my IBM Model M. Simply because I keep my wife up late at night

I was looking at a Rosewill RK-9000BR (because its what fits my budget). I was looking at my keycap options and it was like jumping into the deep end of a pool.

I like the look of the Granites, but those are... pricey on the used market and nonexistent on the new market.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice they could lend.

Try Massdrop. They always have group buys for keycap sets going on. Generally pretty good prices too.

You aren't really making any sense. You want to buy a rosewill cause it's cheap and then you want to buy new set of keycaps for it as well? The keycaps themselves are going to cost another $25 min, most probably more if you want quality ones made out of PBT and especially if they're dyesubbed or double shot.

I've looked a little at massdrop.

Theres two reasons why I'm looking at new caps.

1. The keyboard is used and the keys are worn.

2. The caps are transferable. When I upgrade keyboards, I can take the caps with me, put the stock ones back on, and sell the original keyboard.

So I've solved my problem.

I got a Corsair K95 RGB on refurb for a good deal

I'll keep my eyes out for keycaps if I'm not happy with the corsair ones.

You just got a (new) problem, if you gonna buy a new keycaps set, as the k95 don't have a standard bottom row (Ctrl, Win, Alt, FN/Menu and the Spacebar).

Most of the keycaps sets bottom row Keycaps + Spaccebar will not fit on your k95.

If you look in the link here: http://www.maxkeyboard.com/mechanical-keycap-layout-and-size-chart.html you will see that the standard bottom row keycap size for Ctrl, Win, Alt, FN/Menu is : 1x1.25 and for the Spacebar it is: 1x6.25.

Like Ducky, Das, Deck, WASD and some more k-boards in link.

K95 has this bottom row keycaps sizes; Ctrl = 1x1.5, Win = 1x1, Alt = 1x1.25 and Spacebar = 1x6.5.
