It's a nice looking laptop (160GB HD? 2GB RAM Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz) but for 2000 Pounds ($3500 <img src="/images/smilies/eek.gif" border="0" alt="" title="EEK!" class="inlineimg" />) you can get a better deal than that.<br />
<br />
Where do you plan to buy it from? What's your budget range?

Whoops, sorry about the confusion over currencies guys <img src="/images/smilies/redface.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Embarrassment" class="inlineimg" /><br />
<br />
Where can you get the laptop from? Dell.com? Asus.com? etc.<br />
<br />
What will be the main uses for it? Do you want more battery life or more performance? What size screen do you want?<br />

</div>Yeah, agreed on the XPS. Although <a href="http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/[email protected]@@@[email protected]@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdeaddjfigkmkmcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=057348&category_oid=-27749" target="_blank">this</a> isn't too bad either. 240GB hard drive is the only better benefit.<br />
<br />
Get the XPS M2010 if you want a really large screen. It will cost more though...<br />
<br />
Here is the <a href="http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&oc=N11XPS6&rbc=N11XPS6&s=dhs&sbc=ukdhsrsinspn_xps_m1710_2" target="_blank">XPS M1710 </a>for exactly 2000 the way I configured it (without shipping/tax)
