New mobo advice

Hi all,

After the death of my Striker ii Extreme I'm looking at forking out for a new motherboard, I've been looking at X48 and P45's but tbh the whole thing is a bit daunting. Basically the requirements are that it must be 775 and DDR3, SLI / Crossfire isn't important but a good overclocking board would be preferable

Ah and one more noobish question, I know you can't SLI in a crossfire board and vise versa but can a single card goo in either's boards? ( Can't think how to explain it better). The reason I ask is because I have a GTX 260 and was thinking about switching to a 1GB 4870, maybe imidiately maybe in the future.

Thanks for your reply
was just looking at the GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-UD3P before posting so that has almost definatly won my vote motherboard wise.

Just considdering now weather or not to sell my GTX 260 (non core 216) and get a ATI 4870 instead, spec wise it seems a much better choice and have only heard good things about them.

+Rep for u
