I have been looking at overclocking my CPU as well as a potential upgrade to Conroe. <br />
<br />
This is the mobo that I am presently planning on buying <a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128017" target="_blank">http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128017</a><br />
<br />
My question was, am I better of waiting for the new chipsets from ATI and Nvdia to hit the market or am I okay buying now?

You'll be fine. With modded drivers, you can use both SLI and CF on an Intel chipset. You might want to spend a bit more money and get an Asus, I heard the S3s arn't that great.

For C2D that mobo will be fine - You might want to look into the GA DS3 aswell though <img src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Thumb" class="inlineimg" />

There is no difference between the S3 and the DS3, except for the solid caps on the DS3. The S3 will be just fine <img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" /><br />

It depends whether you want dual graphics (Crossfire or SLI). If not, then this board is just fine
