New monitor broken?

I just received a LG W2361V 23" LCD Widescreen monitor. Plugged it in, installed drivers, turned it on.
Problem is:
Keeps turning off and on at random times.
Menu buttons at side don't work properly (can't navigate through menu's)

I thought (hoped) at first it was a driver problem, so went to LG website to look for drivers. Found my monitor, but under drivers, no file is showing.
http://www.lge.com/uk/support/produc...roduct-profile

LG states:

Quote:

Software Upgrades include Device Drivers and Firmware Updates for specific Models only. Not all Models support downloadable software upgrades, so check the Owner's Manual for instructions.

So I have now tried all the drivers on the CD given with the same results.

Do you think that the monitor itself is faulty?

well we do things differently over in the states lol. How hot does the monitor get? over-heating could explain the turning off, but the menu buttons point to something wrong physically.

not hot at all, yeah thought it might be physical, was just really hoping a simple driver fix would do

Off to start the long process of RMA

Thx anyways
