Ok guys a few years back i got this amazing 20" viewsonic! my dad even bought one.. So today dad put on his computer and it doesnt work.

So basically what I want from you guys is a list of monitors for £450 or less.
When i looked into it myself I found no-one is quoting millisecond response times anymore???

what about Liyama Prolite E2607WS 26inch monitor 1920 * 1200: http://www.kikatek.com/product_info....source=froogle

also if your going to quote prices can you check that it's in uk pounds and that they ship to the UK? (newegg wont ship here
)

FINAL EDIT: I am still looking for a 28" monitor or better... The T260HD is great but it's not 28"..

EDIT: ok update, I can go upto £600! I can buy from:

www.scan.co.uk

www.dabs.com

www.ebay.co.uk

and any other site that will psot to UK.

LG 27inch 1920x1200
Samsung 2433BW
ASUS VH242H

out of the 3 i posted my selection would go Samsung, ASUS, then LG. There all full HD monitors with HDMI, so any of those would be really nice.

If your really looking to spend 600 on a monitor i would then suggest the samsung T260HD.

Edit: cant find the T260HD, but here is basically the same monitor just with out the tv tuner and lower contrast ratio, the samsung 2693hm its a beautiful monitor i love mine to death...http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...1109,412920000

I've been looking at this one for a while.

HP LP2475w, £425 for a 1920 x 1200 24" H-IPS monitor is hard to beat, it has more connectivity options than you can shake a stick at.

It is a wide gamut monitor though so you need to use colour space aware apps (like firefox) or colours will be oversaturated.

Superb monitor but just be prepared to upgrade your pc every 5min to play games. You'll need a 4870x2 at a minimum to play on that monitor.

Red stick with the 19xx x 1xxx and you'll be fine, graphics cards are being made now to handle this res quite well due to 24+" monitors becoming more mainstream. 30" is still pushing it.

ok so it's between the Hanns.G and the samsung T260HD...

which?

Both same ish price.

Samsung, the good point is 20000:1 contrast & 26inch
Hanns.G, 28 inch with 800:1 (both the same resolution).
You don't need anything bigger than a 26" on a 4870 and that's really pushing it. You'd probably be better off staying with a smaller, 24" like the Samsung 24 previously mentioned or the Samsung T240.
