Sick, if you get a better cooler, like an xp-90, big typhoon with as5 youll be able to get at least to 2.8 but thats a good overclock, nice ram BTW

Yea I almost got Big Typhoon but I have a mid tower and when I seen that monster in person I was like NO damn way is that things goin to fit in my tower.

And you might be right about gettin to 2.8 it took 2.4 and 2.6 like nuffin =)
I'll try for 2.8 in a few days when I know 2.6 is rock solid.

Update your system specs to properly reflect your current memory. We don't want people thinking basic Kingston 3200 is pulling of that kind of frequency.

I ran into a small problem.

The ram runs very hot at DDR 578 =)

I was playing doom III at max settings and about 20mins into the game my guy started pulling towards one side LOL! I figured it was the ram so I set an 80mm fan in front of the sticks and went back into Doom III all seems ok now.

I must find a better way to cool these firecrackers off =)

Just order some self-adhesive copper sinks. Should fix you up. And they're pretty cheap.

You need to work up slowly and test for both MEM and CPU stability!
There is a Quick "Memtest" to speed up the initial memory testing.

Yea I know =)

I test with Prime95, 3dmark01,06 and realworld game playing such as DoomIII.

And we also need:

Good Power Supply
Quality Motherboard
Quality Ram
Good Cooling
One must also know ones Bios! Aint nuffin like a good Abit/Asus/Gigabyte Bios.
And a big dash of luck of the draw =)

Lets not forget people like The Duke and all the other good guys that take the time to write up the FAQs and share information.

System will boot at 2.8ghz but no matter what voltage I give its not stable.
