first off i attached a screeny. well i wanna know

1. why does this thing run so damn hot
2. why is core temps readings so erratic
3. why does speedfan report two different vcores
4. why is speedfan saying vcore is 1.40 when i set it at 1.425 when it report it correctly at higer volts

#2 basically when i do anything proc intensive core temp's readig jump erratically when it worked like a dream on my 146.

oh yea why is this 165 so damn hot? my 146 ran 1.6v on my jetway board and would never go higer than 44c(according to core temp) now core temp reads sometime up to 60+ then it instantly jumps down a bit then bk up.

ive prob got more q's but but it late and i cant think anymore

i didnt do a reformat after changing mobo and proc maybe that would account for some of these annoyances

the screeny is @idle. and system isnt benchy stable. i just loaded up 1 of the previous owners saved profiles and tweaked it a little. he had it called 2.8 stable but he had the vcore at 1.5 and i think shes stable or close to it at 1.45

1. That is bloody COLD for a CPU tempurature
2. There's nothing off for the temps
3. Speedfan is a joke, dont use it
4. read number 3

Where does it say 60c for your core temp? I see 29C

Just go off what everest says, the rest are crap

set vcore to 1.45 but isnt stable had to be quick with the screeny because it craps out after about 3seconds. all progs are saying its @1.425. the guy setting i am using did have an option to and volts with something to do with % but i set that bk to auto maybe that is what is dopping the volts bk down. the sheer amount of bios options compared to my old jetway is slightly alarming

edit: the % option was CPU VID special control. he had it at 102% i think

*cough* core temp *cough*

set vcore to 1.475 with th cpu vid special set ot 102% and its bumped it up to 1.49?? oh and its still not stable lol

maybe i didnt screw my BT down tight enough and that why my temps are scary. ive already reseated it once today

ok but if you get the right config for speedfan and it uses the same sensors that everst is using and produces the same results then i dont see what is the matter with it

also i dont see any 60c temps for your cpu unless im missing something

Cough, those core temps mean nothing, chill, just worry about the actual CPU tempurature. But yeah I'd tighten down that fan as soon as possible. And stop using Speedfan, I'd trust my finger on the CPU more then Speedfan.

So tighten the fan, making sure it's down completely flush and with fresh AS5, not alot just the amount of a grain of uncooked rice.

isnt core temp supposed to be the most accurate prog for reading temps? il tighten the BT but dont think its that loose. as5 amount i applied should be right ive dont it a few times but you never know and its late

obviously it's not the most accurate if it's giving you temps of 60C

I wouldn't tighten the fan so much as make sure it's perfectly flush and level

something is seriously wrong here. ive reatched my 190cfm delta and @1.50v both core temp and everest say cpu got to 70c. my opty 146 ran [email protected] with only a 125cfm, ys tech and that never got above 44c. i cant selep with the delta on its just too loud. looks like im goin to have to rebuild everything me thinks
