That is definatly one nice proc, especially if you get a good stepping, if I recall, kacea steppings have been known to hit 3.0 on air! If not, id imagine the worst steppings you could still get up to 2.6 or so, especially with that kick-*ss mobo.

Thats a very good rig. lol I mainly say that because I have almost the same. But yea, you should beable to OC that 3700+ quite a bit. I got mine to 3.0, and even with a bad stepping you are still looking at 2.6-2.7.

What games are you planning on playing? That can change your decision on your ram. Other wise that looks like a promising build and not that expensive either.

Concur with ira-k, go with the E4 stepping. You might want to consider going with 2x1GB kit instead of 2x512MB kit, but other then that it will be a nice gaming rig for you.

You can get a cheaper board then, like the DFI Infinity line may be more suited for you. The E4 and the Ultra-D would have made a great overclocking setup, but a cheaper board and the E6 will do you fine then.

Aye, if your not going to overclock you might look at the 4000+ which is a 2.4 GHZ proc out of the box as opposed to the 2.2 of the 3700+. Actually, if your really interested I have a 4000+ that is just sitting around collecting dust, as I dont have enough rep here to sell it and dont want to ebay, id be more than happy to send it to you at the cost of shipping.

Here are afew pics of the proc and the pins. If your interested PM me with your shipping adress, and Ill attempt to get it out to you within the week.
If your not going to OC then you should get an 3800+, its 2.4GHz and cheaper then the 3700+, I think. If I were you I would just get the 3700 and OC it, its really easy and if you read some of the guides here you'll be able to OC it to 2.6-3.0GHz easily

Imagine all the noobs you can pwn now

Ahhhh, come on. Your gonna get a rig like that and not OC?? Not even a little?? I bet you do eventually

As far as the case goes, I've got one and like it a lot. Good airflow, I'd give it an easy 8, possibly 9 out of 10. But my newer case is working like a champ right now. I'll see if I can dig it up if your interested. Last I checked a couple of weeks ago Radio shack was selling it for $30 after rebate, free shipping since it originally cost over $50 (I think around $85 originally??).

Good luck OC'ing with that setup

Edit: you guys type faster than me, I just read all of the threads that were posted in the time I was typing this. Looks your getting a great deal there. I can't argue with that one bit........but I still think you should get the lanparty and OC the hell out of it anyway. But that's just my 2 cents....
