Hello everyone, I just recently put together the system in my sig and have run into a wall. I only have basic knowledge when it comes to anything more then putting together a system. The problem I'm running into is random BSoD's. The stop code is 124 which is hardware and after a bit of searching I read to stress test everything. I ran Prime95 small FFT for 2 hours, memtest86 on all the ram, and even OC Scanner for the graphics. Everything went fine with no errors or crashes. The odd thing, at least to me is it seems to happen when I'm away from the computer, when it's idle. Out of the 5 or so BSoD, 4 have been when I was away and the other happened while watching a YouTube video.

I read a post by another member here showing codes and the setting to fix them. As I recall the 124 code had something to do with vcore settings or vtt?

124 is a voltage code

it wants either more or less voltage to the cpu, youll have to try both.

Hey again. I have been bumping up the vcore settings after each BSoD and have gotten to 1.28v from 1.24 and still running into the problem. It seems to only happen after I let the computer go idle. I have power settings set to turn of the monitors after 20 minutes, never on the entire system. Could those settings cause this problem? Maybe a problem with my video card?

I was also wondering how high i can set the vcore? I read 1.5, is that correct? I haven't yet tried to lower the voltage, how low can the stock speeds go before it becomes a problem?

Go to your BIOS and disable all power saving features or anything else that may throttle down your vcore at idle. Try setting your VCore Over Voltage setting to Fixed Voltage.

As to your question regarding lowest stable vcore, (I think thats what you meant) ...CPUs voltage tolerances vary from chip to chip.
