This week we will announce a new project.. Designed by Gamers, true story. Really looking forward to going live with this. This will mark the first project of what will become a direction for many of SteelSeries' future products.

It looks like the mouse wheel and dpi button is glowing. It also seems like its the shape of the Xai which disappoints a little. I was hoping Steelseries would make a more ergonomic shape. Which it had mixed success with the Ikari. Whatever it is I'll be hoping for the best.

Post your predications.

and without Right-side buttons.
Just pre-ordered the puretrak, how much this one will costs?

THEY SHOULD MAKE kinzu design with the DA's sensor with custom lens.
or maybe..if I could test the A3090..

The right side buttons don't bother me. I'm fine with them keeping it ambidextrous.

The Xai has higher build quality than anything I have tried, and i have tried just about everything from every single gaming company. If they are just replacing the defective sensors found in the xai/kinzu then I think this will be very successful.

OR they could royally eff something up again, play stupid for 8 months while they try and fail to fix it and then put up an article on their website claiming said eff up was an intended feature.

Your call SS.

Derp,

Just wondering, what sensor is not defective for you?

The Avago 3888 found in the DA 3.5g with a lense to reduce its lift off distance to no higher than 2mm, That would be perfect. Enough DPI for everyone, A high enough perfect control speed for everyone on all surfaces, low amounts of prediction and most importantly NO FREAKING ACCEL.

DA/Abyssus sensor in Xai shell.

Make it happen and no one will ever need to buy another mouse ever.

I would rather have the 3080 from the mx518 than the 3090. Just have an option to turn off prediction and make it 1000hz and it would be perfect. The 3090 is a good sensor but it's malfunction speed is just low enough where it can be a problem for low sensitivity players.

I would buy it with either one though. The Xai body with a good optical sensor would be amazing. Just get rid of the buttons on the right side. Exactly what the Xai should have been in the first place.

The prediction from the 3080 is built into the sensor itself, so it's impossible to turn it off. Terrible sensor really.

The wheel and DPI button could just be white and reflecting the flash from the camera taking the picture

I also quite enjoy the Xai's shape, its perhaps the most ambiguous grip design I've ever experience in a mouse which makes it useable for just about anyone regardless of their grip style. Of course that also means its likely not perfect for any one grip.

And as a finger gripper I have to say the Xai was a breath of fresh air after Razer and just about everyone else went completely ergo crazy.

Did I miss something or is there or do ppl suddenly like the Abyssus.
Strange, It look sexy like most razer products but I cant imagine myself using it.

This is make or break for SS. They better impress or else they lose all street cred.

I dont find the Xai an ideal shape since Im a palm grip and sometimes take a while to get my grip on it. My favorite mouse shape was the ms3.0 so comfy if only it was made of higher quality.

It's hard coded into the sensor SROM.

The sensor is far from terrible though... WMO1.1a just thinks it sucks because none of his favorite quake players use the 518

@ steelseries mouse.

They would be stupid not to throw in the ADNS-3090.

If only they would work on their global warranty policy. 1 year isn't enough for me if the mouse itself is going to cost $60+ USD.

I don't know where you get this from but the avago 3080 has a much lower malfunction speed and most importantly perfect control speed than the new avago 3090 which is above 4/ms in malfunction speed and about 4/ms in perfect control speed

And anyone moving their mouse faster than 4/ms is not human

In addition the avago 3080 has prediction that cant be turned off
