I am new when it comes to overclocking. I have read many post from people but cant seem to even get my cpu to 3.0ghz. I have a nice setup finally and now I wanna learn how to overclock it. If someone could help me out and give me some step by step instruction on how to get it to 3.0-3.2ghz i would appreciate it.

Thanks for filling in your spec's. The only thing missing is what CPU cooler you are using. Are you using the stock Intel cooler?
Its a good idea to see what kind of load temps you get at stock settings before you start overclocking. This will give you a good idea as to how much head room you have.
Run Prime 95 for a few minutes and monitor temps with Realtemp.
If you could post a screen shot of CPU-Z (Both the CPU and Memory), Realtemp with Prime 95 running it would help.
What are the stock voltages? I wanna make sure i have them right before i run it.
Your temps are at 80c at stock.
I don't know much about your CPU cooler but 80c is way too high for stock settings. Try and re-install you Monsoon cooler.

See i had this probelm with the last mobo i had and it was the voltage. Even on auto it would set it way to high. And ive replaced the cooler. What is a good cooler out there if this one is bad?
Well i want to have something that is gonna do what it is supposed to do.

Looks like your voltage is ok at 1.07v so it looks like you might need to get a better cooler.
As far as which cooler to get is not any easy question. I recommend the TRUE (Thermalright Ultra Extreme) but others will have different opinions.

my temps are down to 71-72 after running Prime for 25 mins
