New to REAL gaming

I just recently bought a beastly computer that I have listed below. I haven't gotten it yet, but the specs are down there anyways. I'm saying I'm new to "REAL gaming" because I've been using a Celeron @ 2.4Ghz, 512mb 400mhz RAM, Geforce 5700LE, 40gig harddrive, and some random low end motherboard for ages. Can't quite consider that a quality gaming computer nowadays. Anyways, hola.

Heck ya, thanks. Going to have to put in some overtime to recover from it though, but it'll be worth it!

You wouldnt happen to want to share with us how much you paid for that sexy beast would ya?

Can you still return the monitor and/or one of those 8800GTX cards? IMO you severely overpaid.

Well I already had the monitor, but I could probably go to only one 8800GTX

After a rough estimation of prices, I come out to about even as if I were to buy and build it on my own, so I don't quite see where I overpaid really. The 3016.75 included shipping also, which could be 60-70.

lol, amen. But I feel as if I didn't. I know I didn't really need two 8800GTX's at the moment... but that's simply how I roll and I live with my parents still, so I can afford it considering my one and ONLY payment is half of the car insurance payment, lmao (my parents pay the other half).

Rough estimation:

Thermaltake Armor Case (Black) -$150
eVGA 680i Motherboard -$250
E6700 Processor w/Zalman Fan -$550 with fan
2GB PC6400 4-4-4-12 -$250
eVGA 8800GTX in SLI Configuration (x2) -$1250
2x320GB Seagate in RAID-0 -$185
750W Thermaltake PSU -$200
Dual LiteOn DVD-RW -$60
19-in-1 Memory Card Reader -$20
Fan Control & Temperature Guage -$20
Windows XP Home -$60

TOTAL: $2995.00
So I got free labor and paid $21.75 for shipping as I see it.

Your rig is amazing. I'm getting a 65nm pretty quick, and for 700 bucks I'll be matching your speeds! Well, almost

EDIT: Welcome to the forums mate! Good to have ya!
