Hey and welcome to oc.net When it comes to the bandwidth of your memory to get 128bit bandwidth you motherboard has to support dual channel ram AND you will need 2x512 sticks to achieve dual channel.
New to this game please help!
Have just built my first sytem,
AMD 3000+ winchester
Biostar NF4ST-A9 motherboard
1gig kingston
Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 64
And i was going to give it a go at overclocking my AMD to about 2.4Ghz, but i have come accross my first prob, When i try to use Nvidia Ntune i get this message "warning your PCI clock is set to track the HT bus, if you change the clock for the HT bus the PCI bus will change as well. Please consult your motherboard manual to determine how to disable this behavior befor procceding"
Also my memory bus only seems to be running at 64bit when it should be running at 128bit, and i get reports from my system that the maximum clock multiplier on my cpu is 9x and that my cpu is already running at this.
Also would it be better for me to overclock through my bios rather than through my Nvidia Ntune utility?
Please help as i am very new to all this.

Be sure to lock your AGP/PCI clocks, thats what the message you are getting telling you to consult your motherboard's manual is on about. When raising your FSB/HTT the CPU and motherboard should be ok but PCI devices and HDD's don't like that sort of thing which is why it needs to be locked to 66MHz/33MHz.
Also raise your PCI Express clock a little if needed should you overclock more than 220 on the HTT.

Have checked my mother boards hand book but it dosent tell me how to lock my AGP/PCI clocks so any advice on how to do this would be really appreciated.
