My father says he is almost ready to upgrade 2 computers, but he only wants to spend up to a total of $650 on upgrades. He planned to buy a new dell, get new mb, blah blah, Too much for not enough.

We have a Dell Deminsion 4550 and an emachine _____. The emachine is micro ATX. The dell can't have the same case. I have a spare 400w PSU with 25A on the +12v rail.

Here is what I think needs done:
Replace the motherboard for the Dell and Emachine.
Replace the CPU's.
Use old RAM from both in one new one. (4x512MB)
Buy new RAM for one.
Buy new video card for one.
Put old video card in one (fx 5200 or Radeon 7500 for Emachine).
Put PSU in Dell replacement.
New keyboard to replace bad Dell one.
New DVD burner for Dell Replacement.

Is there anything I am forgetting?
Every time I make a list, I go to high on the price...
We need a good family PC and a good office PC. Don't need to upgrade HDD.

Old Specs:

Dell:
P4 2.0GHz (core?)
Dell mobo
512MB pc-2700
GeForce fx 5200 128MB 64-bit

Emachine:
Athlon XP 2400+ 2.0GHz (will not OC EVER)
Emachine mobo
512MB pc-2700
Integrated S3 Unichrome (up to 32MB)

Be sure to include Shipping costs, and make sure all parts are in the USA.

Why do you need to change the cpu's? They're alright, with a good mobo, heatstink and PSU, you can oc the crap out of that cpu.(P4)

I was hoping to see a 6 series GPU in the family PC...
I need two mobos, both old ones only have 2 RAM slots, and only support up to 512MB....
1GB of RAM in each...
And my dad wants 64-bit processors.

Oh ya, can't OC office PC, may be able to OC the family one...
