Just curious guys, has this been tried yet? Have my finger on the order button, may try this out, I'll let you know. Before I order, has it been attempted, and if so, am I in for failure?
Edit: OOPS, heres a link http://www.aquariumpros.com/p-CWIPC,CHmc.html
$135 for a simple peltier cooler seems a bit extreme, unless your not a DIY kinda guy.

Looks like an expensive pelter to me, might as well go buy a 400 watt one with a nice PSU and give that a whirl instead.

claims to drop 20 gallons of water 8-10C... How many gallons is the average WC setup? Guess I don't know enough about Peltier, what does the average Peltier cooler do for temps?

That water isn't being heated and recycled. I doubt this thing will do anything for a WC loop since the water will never be sitting by this thing for long enough for it to do anything. Don't waste your money on this, use it to buy better WC parts.

8-10 degC? I read 6-7 degrees below ambient (for 20 gallons though). In the argument that 20gallons is a lot of water and the change in temperature may in fact be higher with less volume to cool, remember that your computer components are hotter than any fish out there

A moderate to high powered pelt will get you below freezing with water. Now, if those units were 25 bucks a pop, and were modular and easily configured in series...they'd be worth a battery of tests.

I stand corrected, 6-8C is right. What is the freezing point of most coolants used within the average WC system?

You won't have to worry about that, the hot side of the pelt is making sure the water never gets close to freezing

The only thing this has over a pelt is that will work as a chiller making the whole system cold...I dunoo how well it will work though. You could get someone to make you a slush box for about the same price and you will have guaranteed temps.
