Ever since Stanford distributed the 1680 point WUs, my computer has been getting slowdowns when switching between windows and such. How do I fix this annoying problem?

Project number: 5903

Lower priority for the program? I haven't noticed any difference with them on my pc.
Lowering the priority doesn't work. The WU also changed my Vista Aero scheme to the Vista Basic scheme...

What the heck is up with this WU...

Sounds like your nVidea drivers. Some guys had slowdowns when they went past the 181's.
Which drivers are you using?

Thats odd. I haven't had that issue.

As Jade said, its probably driver related. I'm using 181.6 without a problem.

Well, I'm currently using the GeForce 178.24 drivers. Not planning on switching drivers because my brother gets stutters on 180.xx/181.xx drivers on Left 4 Dead. I am planning on switching to a EVGA GeForce GTS250 graphics card though (GTX260 is too expensive for me).

I'll thinking about doing CPU SMP temporarily.
