Newb Watercooling Needed - $250ish budget preferred

Alright, here's the deal. I have no experience at all with watercooling, but I want to learn.

I want to make an affordable watercooling system, as it's a gift from my mother for Christmas and she offered to buy the parts. What exactly should I get? If my system were your system, what would you use? I want it to be able to cool my CPU at 4.2ghz at a good temp, my northbridge, and in the future my video card (though you can include the block in the pricing if it fits under the budget.

Thanks!

It's a bit more expensive than juggalo's setup, and he includes a nicer radiator if you pick the XSPC RX360. However, I'm a big fan of the 355+XSPC restop. It'll be strong enough if you expand your loop, and the pump really comes alive with it. No need for PT nuke if you're okay with a pure silver setup so I've included everything you need for microbial protection. I also did everything from one shop because otherwise shipping can kick your butt if you don't find free shipping deals.

Figured you'd like to see some other options, and you can pick and choose between whatever anyone posts. Good luck, and ask tons of questions before you take the plunge. Remember, water won't change your life, but it sure as hell will be a lot of fun to fiddle with!

Damn, I guess I've been slacking on the new block comparisons. I thought the GTZ was beating everything on the i7's. Time to go refresh.

EDIT: My bad, I completely lost my head on that one, as Juggalo said GTZ is slacking by few degrees, and is definitely a loser compared to the Rev A for price/performance. My mistake!

The kits at petras are great... But I highly recommend you to check out the for sale section for watercooling parts it would save you a ton of money.

I agree that the kits at petra's are great, however you can build the same kit for less money, or an upgraded kit for the same price. If you don't want to go through and build your own completely custom kit they are absolutely the best you can easily find of the web. However, if you're cheap like me, or have your own plans, you can do better price wise! Heck just go to Jab-Tech and see the same kit priced out, when I was planning my loop it was like 40$ cheaper.

I'm pretty sure that's what vuxdu meant, not meant to be bashing him at all! ++ for recommending the for sale section, it's always a bargain here at OCN.
