Ordered this earlier this morning. Upgrading from my current 20". Can't wait.

Cons: Screen resolution, over bright screen out of box, the colors are over saturated, VERY bad viewing angle issues.

A review by Carl for the monitor. Why would screen resolution be a con?

Picky ass people.

Anyways, I just picked one of these up myself. My little 15" monitor that I use is starting to go I believe so it's time for a new one and this deal is too hard to pass up.

but im trying to buy a samsung 2233rz monitor
1680x1050 @ 120hz

so would I want to pay $120 more and get a smaller monitor /w a small nat. res..but have the faster refresh rate?

hmm, it depends

because my new build

X2 Phenom 555
asus ud3p mobo
gskill ripjaw 4gb
ati4890 <open box:*(>

so i doubt i would get 120fps with these new games out, but is it still possible to take advantage of this monitor with 60fps at all times?

or would a 60hz LCD to the trick?

keep in mind i am willing to pay more

I guess that depends on personal preference. Ive only used 60hz monitors so i couldn't tell you if I myself notice a difference between them. However, your 4890 will perform nicely at high resolutions which the monitor stated only goes to 1680x1050 while most the newer monitors exceed that. So, does better image quality negate the extra 60 frames? thats up to you to decide
