ATI's 5xxx series cards seem way higher priced than what they would have been last year. Just not ATI's style. Probably the economy.
wow, do people not realize that there is an entire thread called the "5x70 in stock" thread for this same reason, one thread is better than having a million threads saying the same thing, next time just post in there please. thanks.

Creating a new thread can get people's attention much faster, since these cards usually sell out pretty fast I don't see anything wrong with creating a new thread

My thoughts exactly and I did post it in the thread called the "5x70 in stock"

If you wanted this card badly, you want the fastest way to read it and get it before others
Isn't this OVER the MSRP? I think I saw places were going to price them at $259. I'd wait a short while and snag one once the frenzy is over. I always get cards cheap once the demand goes down some.
Sucks that they're now 60$ more than their original launch price. If they were still $260, I'd sell my 4870 and grab a 5850 for cheap.
Deal (informal use) - A sale favorable especially to the buyer; a bargain.

This is no deal, it's legal robbery.

$320 is not too bad considering the current supply and demand of these cards
if you wait another 3-4 months I'm sure you can get an actual deal
