For me not being PCIe x1 kills it. The reviews are definitely good though.

If you read the reviews you'll see it's just a solid sound card. There have been some good deals on internet sites and here in the OCN marketplace on X-Fi Xtreme Gamer cards but I haven't taken the bait as I need a card capable of coaxial SPDIF surround sound to hook up to my 1000W 5.1 surround sound system. This card has all the outputs you could ever want, and from the reviews appears to have sound equal to or maybe even better than the Xtreme Gamer. Any audiophiles want to weigh in? I'm hardly an audiophile but it appears to have all the outputs, quality, and support I'm looking for. I wish it was PCIe x1 to give it a little breathing room, but it appears to be slim enough from the side profile to fit smack against the backside of one of my HD 4830's.
