It's a Rosewill, So, It's probably only useful for like %35 of it's rated wattage.
Even then, it's probably unstable.

Thats tooo cheap to be 1000w but who knows without trying

How did this get 80+ Bronze certified?
i dont know if i would trust it. but MY GOD ITS $100 OFF
I have a 950w rosewill in my computer and it works great.
i think we need to send jonny an email and have him test this out. he will decide on if its stable.
One of my friends just bought this, god help him...
It's based on Sirfa's indy regulated platform, much like these guys. Performance is forgettable, but I can't find anything truly horrible about it. I would probably save up for a Corsair tx950 if I were in the market for an affordable, but good, ~1000W but then it isn't modular either.

Yeah I'm curious about this. Who certifies these and under what conditions? I've used a Rosewill in the past and it was rock solid, still going as far as I know now... 6 years out

you see rosewill and toss it aside. Rosewill is the Newegg band and it is most likley another PSU maker like how ECS does dell boards and such. There are MUCH MUCH worse PSU's out there.
LOL, good comments so far! But for $99 I'd give it a chance, and send it back if I didn't like it.

The are a rebrander, they make nothing. It is some OEM company that made the PSU and then Rosewill rebranded it. I would personally spend more to get a quiet, reliable, Corsair or other name brand PSU.

I know a guy that had a 600 some watt Rosewill PSU and it blew when it was less than 2 years old. He contacted the company and they had him a new, better one (his model was discontinued) to his house in about a week. So even if it blows, the have good RMA. But I do not know about stability, I personally would take my 560w Corsair over this 1000w Rosewill.
I can definately vouch for this PSU, I bought it about 3months ago for my current i7 rig, it costed me $230, never had any problems with it, does what it's suppose to, supports my sli setup.

5 eggs for the psu, GET IT

Nearly all PSUs sold today are farmed out to other companies to produce. Corsair, Antec, Silverstone and PC Power doesn't make any of their PSUs either.

To be fair to Rosewill many of their newer stuff is reasonably well built. They aren't going to top any lists in performance figures but they'll at least do what they say they can.

If I needed a modular PSU today I'd get the Ultra X3 850W at Tigerdirect for $99.99 plus shipping. The X3's have gotten a lot of good reviews. I have the 1000W and it's great. I'm sure the 850W is better than that Rosewill.

Ive had nothing wrong with any of my previous Rosewill products. Actually saved me quite a bit of money and allowed me to have the rig I have today.

I doubt it, I had a 600W Ultra that lasted just over a year then died. They refused to honor the warranty saying that I bought it through an OEM, and had to go through them. It supposedly had an Ultra lifetime warranty too. ULTRA SUCKS. They DO NOT stand behind their products.
I went through email exchanges with them for a week and finally gave up and bought the Antec I'm using now. I even had the proof of purchase for the power supply and they STILL refused to RMA it.
