[Newegg] Passive cooled 5750 anyone?

Haven't seen this posted anywhere, thought it worth a mention. Appears that Powercolor is now producing a passively cooled version of the ATI Radeon HD 5750. A very nice option for a HTPC with moderate gaming aspirations...

interesting, seems kinda overkill for an HTPC, but then again, why not go for overkill?
looks good for anyone who has a spare 120mm fan and a some zipties.
The should have used a backplate heatspreader instead of those heatsinks.

Thinking the same thing.

Yeah, those heatsinks look like it will fall off during shipping.

I was hoping they come out with a 5770 passive cooled.

I'm waiting for low profile DX11 cards for my brother's cute little HTPC case.
OH MY GOD THIS WOULD BE AWESOME FOR MY HTPC

I can put my XBOX controller on it and use this video card to play PC racing sims on my couch from my big screen

This is an awesome card, I need to buyyyyyy

Emphasis mine.

Moderate? Isn't 57xx = 48xx in performance? Sorry I haven't visited this site in over 6 months!

"Perfect" for HTPC? I dunno, think I'd rather buy a card that exhausts all the heat out of the HTPC case. HTPC cases are obviously small and cramped enough, and that thing would heat the inside of one like a damn space heater.

Basically. The 5750 is equivalent to the 4850 in most scenarios. So, it's good for most gaming, just not for the maxed settings.

It's actually a bit faster than a 4850, but generally not as fast as a 4870.

Hmm, I stand corrected.

Not to mention, that's before any overclocking (then the 5750 should bury the 4850).

If a cooler can mange temps passively, add a fan and you get a good cooler

It looks alot like an accelero S1 which is already known to be a REALLY good cooler, actively cooled. If actively it can keep an OC'd 4890 in check(seen it suggested) then it's more than capable of keeping a heavily OC'd 5750 going.

I wonder if there are any vmods for the 5750 yet?

Seems really cool for a quiet system. I just put an Accelero S1 rev2 on my old 9600GT (which I could never stand before due to the loud fan), and it works amazingly well...this should be similar.

Dang it, I don't want to have to buy a new card.
