That's a nice deal for a 2x8 kit. I would avoid getting two kits and sticking them together though. You're in no way guaranteed to get the listed speed and timings. I don't think it's generally much more expensive to get a quad kit instead.

I've read some people complain that they weren't able to get two kits to work together, but I have never had such a problem. I, somewhat recently, switched to the Samsung low voltage Wonder RAM and bought four unmatched sticks (not even 2x2 kits). There was zero problem whatsoever. The only kits I've seen complaints on are the 8 and 16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws kits.
