Interesting that it comes in so much more than the Seagate. Must be the new platter driving up costs (or giving WD an excuse to drive up costs).
Love WD. Not an issue so long as i've been working with computers. And i have 4 of their HDD in my sig rig alone.
I still have that 80Gb WD that broke in a way that made the PCB get extremely hot and the drive to not work...

and the slightly older Seagate that seems to screw up whatever OS is installed on it within a week.

Loving my Hitachi.

Its news to me, i've been waiting for a 1.5tb harddrive, and i dont want to gamble with seagate. Is $160 for a 1.5tb harddrive really a deal?

Err... if anything thats news.. it should be that WD has the 2TB HD out for 299.99 at newegg... Seagates only go up to 1.5TB whereas WD has exceeded that and gone to 2TB (probably 5 platters tho)

and this definitely is in the wrong section.
