Submitting News

This thread will be continually updated as time goes on.

Starting from this point forward, in an effort to provide more descriptive titles, please begin using prefixes in your News threads. They should follow this format:

[The Inq] AMD Buys Intel

Please find below a common list of news sources:
[TheInq]
[Fudzilla]
[H]
[THG]
[Anandtech]
[Engadget]
[Dailytech]
[Extremetech]

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

And since post count generally determines the amount of "OCN Experience", it would cut back on the number of double posts, etc.

I concur....another good idea.

A greatly increasing number of threads posted in the news forums are not following the guidelines - and some blatantly ignore them. Please use the exact formatting outlined above. Nobody is going to complain if you use [Inq] or [Inquirer] instead of [TheInq], but please use the "[" and "]" leading and trailing the prefix. It allows for easy readability, a clean look, and better information on the contents of a thread.

Thank you, as always, for your cooperation in making our news forums a great place to read and learn.

Just a friendly reminder

Please include prefixes in all your news threads. A lot of members are not following these simple guidelines.

Thank you

We would like to remind our members of this rule:
http://www.overclock.net/news-overcl...ting-news.html

Especially this paragraph:

Quote:

Quote the essential paragraph of the story BUT NOT the entire article

We will give the members a 2 week timespan, and if they do not meet posting guidelines by then we will start handing out warnings.

Just a reminder. I've seen an unusually high number of news posts recently that are NOT formatted properly or even at all. Mind posting guidelines here and in the other news sections. Thank you.
