Anyone else played it with a keyboard? maybe give some settings that will make cars handle similar to Race Driver Grid?
I just got it and its almost impossible to control, the car feels very heavy.

Also extremely annoyed by having to alt+tab and end task just to quit a race.
*** is with EA making a game that you cant quit a race to tweak controls and settings!!!

For drifting events you want to use a controller, for regular racing events a racing wheel is better. IMO it's impossible to play racing games with a keyboard. haha

Yeah it's pretty hard to play it with keyboard, Get the Logitech Driving GT. It's a very good wheel comes with Gas & break pedals, force feedback from the wheel & a shifter & it's around a 100 bucks but trust me it's worth it !!

Amazon Amazon

I'd rather play with keyboard if you guys know some good settings.

I will try using a wheel and gamepad for now. (im too lazy to set up the table and move monitor)

Ships in 1-3 months. They stopped G27 production for a while, they were supposed to resume in the past month or so

I find it way more more accurate on a keyboard than with a controller, althought I never tried any racing wheels.

I might have pressed wasd too often I guess xD

I know a great setting for this POS game for us keyboard users..

Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall

EA thanks you for your support.... But they have nt released a patch, nor have I read of one.

Game sucks.... Worst NFS yet, DX9 is 2011??? Still cant get over that...

You can alter the config file, but its still pretty bad with it set to 0...

Its like the cars are driven with rubberbands, and the shocks are jello...

Disc Letter :\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED\\ControllerDefaults\\PC

then look for these 2 files:
vehicleset_pc_custom_pad
vehicleset_pc_mousekeyboard

right click, properties, take the check box out of "Read Only"

Then open with notepad and change:
DampeningEnabled="1" to DampeningEnabled="0"

Do that in both files, save them, then put the check box back in read only ..

It didnt fix it enough to make it playable for me..

Not for me... Just this POS game...

I play GRID, DIRT_2, older NFS series all fine on keyboard...

Even when some had issues at first, they quickly released a patch..

Not anymore.. EA says F Y to us keyboard users... Must have a liking for Logitech and want us to spend hundreds just to play this one game...

All the games you've played in the past are more arcade styled than simulation. Shift 2 aims to be more realistic..

yeah well I got a F-150 out in the parking lot, if I want realistic I'll go play with that.. With stock suspension it out handles the rubberband boat swaying tuners in NFS... Realistic? Yeah, sure..

EA f'd this game up...

Sorry, just my opinion..

Should have a disclaimer on box "not compatible with keyboard"

It's also near impossible to play with a controller aswell. Shift 2 has so much input lag it's a waste of time to play. I really would love to play it, but it's like driving a brick with wheels.
