Sorry if this is terse but I'm posting from my phone and it's hard to type. I got a rosewell card reader and hooked it up today (internal USB header), and booted up my rig. It was fine, transferred some music to an SD card, all good. A few minutes later my mouse and keyboard (both USB) lost power. I did a hard shut down, after which the pc refused to boot. I noticed a bad smell about now but didn't think about it for a second because people were cooking near me. About 30 seconds later I thought about it and sniffed the inside of my case and psu, didn't smell anything though. I tried resetting the CMOS and ofc unplugging the card reader but ^no good. Oh btw all fans spin fine. Tomorrow I plan on checking the ram and taking my psu to get tested. Does anyone have any other suggestions though? Also, if my mobo is fried, would either evga or rosewell replace it? I'm a student and don't have 200 to spend on a new one. Thanks everyone.

test your psu tp do so take it out of the case and detach all plugs. Plug a fan into it and short teh green and black on teh 24 together ( this is like pushing the power button) if it turns on its the mobo gone. EVGA will replace it as long as its registered. Just go to there site and start teh rma porccess
