a what? first ive heard of this. What does it cover you for?

would be better the keep that extra $50 odd and put it to something of good use like a mad RGB fan. jks

it covers any burnout from overclocking. not that i would, but each chip is different.

This is how intel makes the money. First a pointless limited edition that costs locally at my microcenter 100-130 more than a 8700k for a just marketed bs. I doubt there is a 8700k that can't hit 5ghz on single core boost unless you gotta the most pos chip ever. Tack it on some bs insurance for overclocking. Unless you do something extremely stupid for ambient overclocking you should never actually need the insurance for overclocking.

You can always contact them directly.
If you delid the cpu I'm sure it still has pigeon poop inside lol the insurance is futile :D

Just use the 8700K profile and contact Intel directly. You know they'll accept it. Because they WANT your money.
