Absolutely no power to the system at all (fans, lights, etc). System lost power after running for some time. The MB is a M7VIG400 COMBO with a AMD SEMPRON processor and the chipset is a VIA KM266 Pro+ VT8235. Cleared CMOS, checked power connectors, etc. Any ideas how to restore power to system?

Sounds like a crappedout PSU, and it might have taken some of your computer stuff with it.

I would try a different psu if you can, also check that the ATX connector is properly pluged into the mobo, unplug the PSU from the wall for a few mins and plug it back in. Take out the cmos battery for a few mins and put it back in..

Just some suggestions.

He's dead Jim.

Do you hear a sickening pop sound when the computer loses power?
Your PSU might be dead

If the electrical burning smell from your PSU exceeds that from the elecrical burning smell from a motherboard pile that has caught on fire
Your PSU might be dead

If you randomly loose power to your computer
Your PSU might be dead.

Seriously though, when your computer shuts off does it make a popping noise?
