i have a very annoying problem here, i use win7 and my recycle bin always shows that its not empty, however when i open it no files are displayed.
but ccleaner shows me that there are about 200files and over 2gb of data in there.

now my problem is that i deleted something and now i cant restore it because i have no access to the files in the recycle bin.

can someone please tell me how i can fix this problem so i actually see the files that are in the recycle bin?

i hope anyone her has a solution to that problem so i can continue working again.

You can maybe try to copy the files using the command prompt. Open your cmd and type:

cd c:\\$recycle.bin

dir /a

This should give you a list of everything in there. You might be able to copy what you need before trying what BiG O showed you (Although I doubt it
).

EDIT:
I found this (scroll to where it says Fixing a damaged recycle bin):
http://www.geekgirls.com/windows_recycle_bin.htm

Or you can try renaming the recycle bin using this program. Windows should create another recycle bin automatically, and you might be able to browse through the old one.
