Hey guys, I'm currently having problems with my sound card (Headphones isn't the problem since I tested it with my laptop and phone and sound is coming from both sides just fine), there isn't any sound coming from the right side. I was just playing Battlefield 3 but then all the sudden I lost sound on my right side.

I tried playing music from WinAmp and iTunes which music only come from the left side, along with playing a video on YouTube.

When I switch the output from my headphones to my speakers, it works fine. I tried reinstalling the drivers and the problem occurs, anyone know what the problem might be?

Edit:

When switching from speakers/headphones to headphones/speakers, I can hear a little "popping" sound coming from both sides of the headphone.

Sounds to me it could be hardware related, possible shorts in the rare headphone out, try using the front panel phone out and see, had audio chipping out but this was due to weak RCA, swap them out with something heavy duty.

I didn't bother connecting my front headers with my Xonar STX, since I'll primerly using the card's back connectors.

However, when I turn the volume (On the balance levels) all the way up, I can hear the right side, but obviously one side is a lot louder than the other

1. Try to see if there's a problem with the Op-amps, maybe not seated properly.

2. Uninstall old Asus drivers and try UNi Xonar drivers:

Thanks for the suggestion but I tried and the problem is still there, I'm going to return my card later on today
