With this set up will I have to stick with a low profile like the Corsair Venegeane LP? On a build with a different motherboard I was told I had to use LP memory when using the Noctua NH-D14. Thanks.

Noctua NH-D14 will cover the first 2 memory slot, so yes you need some LP ram for your rig.

Some G.skill and Samsung memory can fit under the ND-H14.

I just installed some Corsair Dominator Platinum under a Noctua NH-D14 on a Maximus V Extreme (which I guess should be quite similar to Formula) by just cutting 3 blades of the first heatsink with a Dremel so the task can be achieved easily. I don't think that performance may degrade anything noticeably.

On my mobo it covers first two slots.

Has anyone tried taking apart the noctua fans to paint them. I am amazed that a company could come up with such an ugly color scheme for fans.

Also is the phanteks cooler the same size and only takes low profile memory? Thanks
