Normal? Or bad PSU?

I started having some trouble with my OC, I decided to go for 4.2 (figured I might be able to do it on air if I took my side panel off LOL)

So it failed a dual Prime test after 1 hour and 44 minutes, alright, so I bumped it up one step on the Vcore to 1.3250 and started the test again.....this time it failed after 2 hours and 23 minutes.......but what I noticed was that the readout showed the Vcore was at 1.26, but only while the test was running. Once I stopped the tests it would slowly climb back up to hang out at around 1.3 - 1.33. at this Vcore, temp is a problem (hits 64c under full load) so just to be safe, I am leaving everything back at stock settings until I get some new AS5 and maybe a better front intake fan.......

I set everything back to stock settings and checked, the Vcore is set for 1.2875 stock and it running at 1.31 at idle....and dips to 1.26 with 2 Prime95s running......

Is it normal for the power to dip slightly under full load? If so, are these dips within allowable limits? The 12v readout shows 11.93-12.09 at idle, then stays around 11.90 with the 2 Prime's running.......

This is my PSU........

PowerReal XON-600F14T-201

Is it defective? Or just bad quality? I didn't try to cheap out, this isn't a $40 PSU........

ya those reading are fine... they drop a little for everyone...and it sounds like heat is your limiting factor here... i bet if you would have upped vcore even more and could stay under say 58c you would be stable...
It could be bad quality, I have never heard of PowerReal. But are these voltages measured using software or using a multimeter? Because software tends to be off by a little bit. You're vcore seems a little low, but I don't really think its that big of a deal with two primes running. And you're 12V looks really good.
Yeah he's right its not really a good brand but I think everything should be all right.... programs aren't always that accurate anyways.......

Yeah, those readings are with the AIBooster utility from ASUS and CPU-z (they are both pretty close to each other)

yeah, I think temps are what are keeping me back......but I was really hoping I could stay under 1.4v.....

Maybe with some AS5 I can get it down to 58c under load........

Man, I wish I had the money to get the case I want and mod it out for super cool running.......
I've got one of these, http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817101208 , if you have any extra cash, and it's done fine for me. Very little fluctuation if any. usually theres less than a .01-.03v fluctuation in almost everything (3.3,5.5,12, ect..). kinda looks nifty too if you have a window in your case. xoxide.com has some cheap deals on fans and other stuff, and they have a decent mix. I read a test in Maximum PC on thermal paste, and AC5 didn't score much better than some cheapo Radio shack paste in the idle range, and had the same scoresin the full load test. you should try the ceramique. also, xoxide has the cheapest deals on HSF's that I've found so far.
*edit*-be forewarned though, xoxide's customer service is a pain in the bum
