Northbridge cooler too small (Rampage Formula)

I bought a Thermalright HR-05/IFX for my ASUS Rampage Formula not knowing that the North bridge chip set on the Rampage Formula is bigger than the base of the Thermalright HR-05/IFX (Where the cooler makes contact to the hardware) its self I still bought it. Will it cause problems if I install it on the motherboard ignoring the size difference? After all the heat comes from the center of the North bridge right? So is that the only part that matters where the heat sink should make contact?

As you can see in the pictures above, the Thermalright HR-05/IFX cant cover the whole surface of the North bridge. Will this be a problem?
