Norton ghost problem !

hello everyone here

can any one of you here please tell me what's the hell Norton ghost is all about since it doesn't even enable me from restoring system files instead of reformating and reinstalling windows??

I backed up the whole C partition and deliberately deleted some files of some programmes to check whether I will be able to restore system files in case a disaster happened but Norton told me that it wasn't able to restore it, I did that for some more apps too but with the same result


and who even told symantec to invent a software for restoring picture and text files and those stuff ONLY ???

is there any special way for the procedure of restoring system files in this app ???

I need your help please ?

um, there was an option that said, Backup entire computer and Backup Documents only. Make sure you have the first one selected and you cannot restore individual program files.

I used to use Norton Ghost but I've moved on.

and what if I only want to restore one app ???

any way ????

and what does that mean if I restored the whole computer files ( in the C sure ) does that mean that I might encounter bugs later after restoring the whole C files which for sure will prompt me to replace the existing system files ?

you can understand now I think , I corrected it
and what option would be better when it comes to restoring SYSTEM files , do you advise me to use the built-in windows file back up utility or the Norton ghost ?
