Hey everyone,

i have one more question about my pc
i noticed that my cpu is not downclocking when idle it just stays at the same clock speed and voltage i gave it..
i did this because if i set c states enabled my vcore goes up pretty high for my liking 1.3-1.4v but when i disabled it i have it running at 1.2v
but does running my cpu at 100% speed and voltage will this degrage my cpu over time or not rly?
i believe if you use ''high performance power plan'' itll do the same thing as if you have c states enabled so im pretty sure its fine?
since a lot of people use the high performance plan...

my cpu is a ryzen 5 1500x 3.5ghz btw
i rly want to avoid c states cause of the voltage it gives so i hope its okusps tracking showbox speed test

Do you mean all cores are set to 3.5GHz? If so, it is fine so long as your Core Power and CPU temp go down. My R5 1600 and R5 3600 do this but not my R7 2700. Weird.

I also set Windows power option to Balance with the Minimum Processor State to 5% under Advance option.

EDIT: Your cpu is designed to boost to 3.7GHz. Might as well lv it at stock and maybe undervolt a bit like apply a negative offset of -/0.03v or something. This will prevent the voltage from shooting up too high, which not really a problem. But the undervolt helps get lower temps.

From what I've seen using completely stock settings, my 3900X it runs around 1.25V to 1.27V under 100% load. It only kicks up into the 1.45V range at very low loads.

I thought about undervolting mine, but it's a $400 processor that I'll want to upgrade in a few years. Not worried about it.

I use high performance power plan, disabled global C states, turn off PBO & do manual OC with fixed multiplier but my 2600X still downclocks when idle.
Have latest bios & chipset drivers already.
