I had a set of Logitech G430's, which have virtual 7.1... Anyway, the sound quality was amazing. I really liked that part. Unfortunately the build quality sucks, and they ended up falling apart.

So I am looking around and currently considering the HyperX Cloud II. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826738002

But then, I got wondering if I should even bother with virtual 7.1.. My new computer has a SupremeFX chip, which, even on my desktop stereo system sounds miles better then the old ALC-882 that was feeding it before. But I am not sure how that will transfer over to headphone sound quality.

Would be any advantage of getting USB headphones that have their own audio chip? Or should I just skip the virtual surround?

I wish I could hear the difference before making the purchase lol.
